Dark Chocolate Mousse Recipe
A Quick and easy recipe for home made dark chocolate mousse. Serve with fresh mint leaves.
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
140g dark chocolate, chopped
A few drops of vanilla extract
mint leaves for garnish
In a bowl over simmering water, melt the chocolate with 1/4 cup of the cream. Stir frequently until you get a rich creamy mixture. When fully mixed, let cool.
While the chocolate and cream mixture is melting, whip the remaining cream to stiff peaks.
combine chooled chocolate mixture with the whipped cream and vanilla, and whip the mixture to soft peaks.
Spoon into 4 small bowls or 8 shot glasses and chill until serving.
